Baqoun is one of the most famous groups on the local and national level. The group has achieved a lot on the international level through its participations in major international events apart from the local level. The group embraced and loved traditional dance “dabkka” and looked forward to giving some performances based on the musical heritage of palestine on the one hand and arab heritage in general on the other hand.
The group consists of 55 members, each of them started his/her dancing experience in their schools. The team is extremely cooperative and forms one united body. The group takes upon itself to train the younger generations to carry on the message and deliver it to a generation after generation. Its young members have taken the dabkka dance moves to the next level through innovation, continuous trainings and creativity to develop the dance movements.
WITHIN TWO YEARS, BAQOUN FOLKLORE DANCE GROUP MADE A GREAT SUCCESS IN ITS COUNTRY, REPRESENTING THE PALESTINIAN CULTURE AND HERITAGE. WHAT IS MORE, THEY HAVE THE CHANCE TO SHOW THE PALESTINIAN HERITAGE WHICH THEY HAVE EMERGED FROM ON PLATFORMS OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY SUCH AS IN JORDAN, CHILE, THE NETHERLANDS, GERMANY, FRANCE, ITALY, ENGLAND, POLAND, SPAIN, ITALY, CZECH REPUBLIC AND HUNGARY.
