“Aiolida” is a non-profit Cultural Association that was founded in 2013 in the city of Nea Smyrni, Greece. Aiolida was founded out of love for Greek culture and tradition by two dance teachers, Eri Kontogouri and Aggelos Tsagdis.
The Aiolida dance group cultivates traditional Greek dances – zeibekiko, hasapiko and karsilamas. The group has participated in many international festivals and has performed in Greece many times. Its participants have taken part in several events organized by UNESCO.
It enjoys widespread recognition and new participants join the group every year.
